21 Jun International World Humanist Day 2019

Today is International World Humanist Day which is celebrated every year on June 21. It is an opportunity for humanists and humanist organisations to publicise the positive values of Humanism. It is also the opportunity to share the global concerns of the Humanist movement.

World Humanist Day is celebrated worldwide by humanist groups around the world with a wide variety of activities ranging from activism to parties. To me, this international day shall be a reminder to educate people about the ethical values of humanists.

Organisations and groups may run courses or conferences to deepen understanding of the principles of Humanism. They may emphasise their global solidarity by raising awareness for freethought groups working all over the world. I am going to celebrate this year’s World Humanist Day on the evening with an international group of people in Hamburg. Cheers!
